restaurant recommendations in Prague

I will be in Prague in early September. I am looking for recommendations for a dinner restaurant close to Smetana Hall (the Municipal House) and the Estates Theatre. I will be attending concerts at these locales and would like to eat out first. Thank you.

What about the restaurant within Municipal House? The environment will be spectacular. We had lunch at the more casual cafe one day - food was OK, but the setting memorable.

yes, I will second the Municiple house restaurants, there is a huge cafe area on the main floor and across from that a more fine dining restaurant and down stairs a massive beer hall that is quite stunning with excellent Czech food.often accordian music in the evening. There really are numerous places to eat and drink in that area.

a few other places nearby that i have been into in the last year or so.
For something a bit different try this place.https://www.lodpivovar.cz/ less than a 10 minute walk from the Municiple house, and is a brewery on a boat, great beers and a limited but very good food menu.

Thank you for the wonderful recommendations. I'm guessing it would be a good idea to get a reservation for dinner. Our concert in Smetana Hall starts at 8pm. Having never experienced the service of restaurants in Prague, I'm wondering how early I should make my reservation. Would a 6pm reservation leave adequate time to order/eat/relax? Would appreciate your opinion on what I realize is a somewhat general question.

worth booking but not always needed. and 6pm should be fine for the Municiple house so you are actually in the building and will have plenty of time but if going to the fine dining area i would give yourself an extra 30 minutes so you can enjoy the experience.
