Hi,
What would you recommend to do and see for 2 full days in Prague?
Thanks,
Mary
That depends. Who are you? What do you hate to do? When are you going? Where are you staying? How old are you (20-30, 30 to 50, 50 to 70)
Here is Rick's list of things to see in Prague - click on the plus sign to open the At A Glance section:
I pretty much agree with Rick's triangle ratings for Prague, except I'd add the National Gallery of Prague and give it two triangles. But read the descriptions in the guidebook or download and listen to his audio tours to see what appeals to you. If you like cathedrals, art and history I'd allow at least three hours for the castle complex, then maybe take a riverboat ride on the first full day. Second day I'd choose a walking tour and maybe an art museum or a concert. But I like museums, art, architecture, photography, boats, history and rest breaks. Spent a week in Prague at New Years (2024-25).
Thank you, that is helpful.
Went to the castle grounds today and in spite of the cold it was packed. Not my thing. But enjoyed the Lobkowicz Palace/museum. Had lunch there as well.
I would pass on the chocolate museum, although we enjoyed the free chocolate samples.
Thought about the boat tour, and was hoping that it was heated well enough in this cold.
Here one more day.

This is a little disappointing to hear about crowds in February. My sister and i are headed there next month. I was hoping we were going go have the city to ourselves. :-)
