Hi All,
We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) who will be in Prague in June. Can you guys suggest a good walking tour of Prague that would keep kids interested too. I booked a tour through viator but its a 6 hr tour and i am afraid that will be a lot of walking for my kids.
Thanks
https://livingprague.com/tours/living-prague-tours/, can highly recommend jason's Living Prague tours as will many others on this forum, he does small group tours max of 6 people and will adjust things to suit the ages of your children (how old are they?)
Thanks so much. They are 8 and 11.
I have known Jason for well over 20 years,he is a charming man and I meet up with him whenever I am in Prague (last time 4 weeks ago), contact him and i am sure he will look after you and your family. When I am with friends in Prague and show them an unusual place or a little side street they always ask "how did you find this place " my answer is usually "Jason showed me"
Another vote for Jason. I signed up for his Prague World War II history tour. I arrived at the meeting location to discover that I was the only person who had signed up for the tour. He told me he had long ago decided that if even one person signed up for a tour, he would give the scheduled tour. That type of professionalism was demonstrated throughout the tour. You can’t go wrong with him.
Unfortunately Jason is booked for the dates we are going to be there. But thanks so much for the suggestions.
I used four private guides when I visited Prague over 8 days in October of last year. My favorite guide by far was Michal from Real Prague Tours. He's in his 30's, has kids of his own, and is super patient and kind. I think he would be great with an 8- and 11-year-old. He is also a Czech native -- his mother comes from a farm family that lost their land to the Communists and his father's father was a member of the Communist party. He's my favorite kind of guide -- a proud native showing off his country and sharing the first-hand experience of growing up there and living there. I spent 10 or 11 hours with him exploring Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland north of Prague, but he does city tours, too. He's truly a top-notch guy. https://realpraguetours.com/
Thanks Dave, I will contact him.
