I was planning on going from Prague to Dresden. Has anybody done that?
Also, I was going from Krakow to Prague, and as I mentioned to Dresden from there. I have about five days maybe six in Czech Republic and was curious if there were any recommendations for places I can visit between those two cities.

Have you thought about going to your local library and taking out some travel guide books to get a broader understanding of the possibilities open to you !
Brno is a good place to stop between Krakow and Prague.

I like Brno, but if I had to choose to revisit a place along the Krakow/Prague route I would visit Olomouc. A bit less polished and fixed up than Brno. And you can catch a bus that takes you through some pretty landscapes on the way between Olomouc and Prague. It is a bus called RegioJet RJ 1008. If you get car sick, this might not be for you. RJ1008 takes secondary roads. Trains run between the two which is a pleasant ride.
Olomouc train station is an easy walk from the city center and the main bus station is around the corner from there. Of course a taxi is always an option.
