Prague restaurant reservations necessary?

Just a quick question regarding restaurant reservations.

I do a fair bit of solo travel and with the exception of London and New York, I've never really made a point to make reservations at restaurants and haven't had an issue so far. In Rome or Paris for example, they could usually find a spot to squeeze me in. Is this the case in Prague also? Or should I try to make reservations when possible? I'm assuming this can be done on the restaurant website or using an app such as OpenTable so it's not a big deal and the language barrier would be minimal. I'm just curious since I tend to plan my day around the sights I want to see and then eat when I get the chance, rather than vice-versa.
