Prague public transport

We will be using Prague as a home base for month in May, with probably 5-6 nights away. Would it be worth it to get the one month subscription ticket, or simply purchase tickets as we go. We will likely NOT be using public transport every day.

Also, is the subscription ticket difficult to cancel?

Hi Carol. When we were there a few years ago, daily all you can ride tickets were inexpensive; maybe $5. You could just buy when there on the days that make sense.
Have a great trip!

I think I might have replied to an email but here goes. If you are not aged 65 or over (free transport if carrying passport) or you are not 60-64 (senior discount ticket) or you are not going to register with PID Litacka (1 month would be CZK550) then the only option is the CZK1000 subscription ticket. To make this pay you'll need to know that you'll be taking public transport more than 30 times in that month. You cannot cancel these tickets i.e. no partial refunds. It may be that you have "heavy" days when you want to use the system more than usual. In this case if you intend travelling more than 4 times in one day its worth to buy a day pass for CZK120. If you pay as you go then check what charges your bank might add if you use your card to buy tickets.
