Prague National Theatre Ticket Purchase

Hi everyone,

I was attempting to purchase tickets to a show at the National Theatre (http://www.narodni-divadlo.cz/en) in Prague in March 2017 and it seems I am unable to purchase tickets online without a Czech bank account to pay by bank transfer.

Is there something I'm missing? Any advice on buying tickets from the National Theatre would be appreciated. Thank you!

I went through it and it let me check credit card. I did not go further because it asked for name and email first so I don't know if the website would let me use credit card but it offered that option.

So weird...there is no where for me to select credit card. It says "bank transfer" only.

I advise against using ticketsonline.cz. They have a 100% mark-up. It is always better to book directly on the Narodni Divadlo website.

I too see several options at the narodni-divadlo website. 3 boxes: "Bank Transfer", "Credit Card", and "Masterpass".
Masterpass is a secure Mastercard payment method where you register your Mastercard in advance with a pin number. This is also useful for buying train ticket at places like SNCF that require this for credit card payments.

There is also this list of approved ticket agencies: http://www.narodni-divadlo.cz/en/tickets/partners

Marcus, I agree, I would like to buy the tickets directly from Narodni Divadlo to avoid excessive fees. However, the problem seems to be with the particular show that I am trying to purchase - March 18 Snow Queen Ballet. I looked at other shows and the credit card option appears, but for the Snow Queen show my only option is bank transfer. I have no idea why, but that is unfortunate! Any suggestions on how to go around this without paying excessive fees from another site?

Sam - I didn't realize at first that the list of approved ticket agencies you posted had online purchases, I thought they were in-person sales (silly me...), one of these should solve my problem!

Unclegus - Thank you, but I had trouble getting the Bohemia Ticket site to load, and it is also one of the National Theatre's approved ticket agencies so if it loaded I bet it would work.

I was finally able to purchase tickets with a credit card on the Colosseum ticket website.

Thanks all for your help! I'm looking forward to the performance!

been in several times now and the beer is great and food excellent, very Czech menu but in a more up to date bistro style.

I always had good luck with Bohemia Tickets for the National Theater, the State Opera, the Estates Theater, and concerts at the Rudolfinum and the Municipal House. I noticed that the hotel where I stayed in Prague also used that site. You can choose your seats at the site and pay with a credit card.
