Prague mid-December

Hi,

I'm planning to "help" my daughter pack up and come back home from study abroad in Prague. She finishes up December 15th.
1) How long would be good to see the city while I'm there?
2) What are the Not To Miss sights?
3) Will there be any Christmas Markets going on while I'm there?

  1. 3 or 4 days will let you see all the main parts of the city.
  2. far too many to mention, but the castle area ,Old Town Square and Charles bridge are the main ones but numerous places within these areas to visit.
  3. yes ,lots they will be in full swing by then.

I would suggest you join a tour,
Prague Naked Tours and LivingPrague Tours are small group tours that have a very good reputation and are very reasonably priced,Living Prague usually have a special Christmas market tour running at that time of the year and Naked tours do an excellent early morning tour.
