Prague-laundry service

We plan to do laundry in Prague. Any suggestions or tips? I just found out our hotel charges $62.50 to launder a t-shirt!
Thanks!

Thanks, for your quick reply. We're staying at the Four Seasons for 6 nights. Prior to our arrival we will be traveling for 5 days through Vienna and Bratislava and I thought it would be easier to just bring five days worth of clothing and do laundry when we got to Prague.

Suggest you buy new t-shirts. Or wait till you have 3 shits dirty, then save some money by buying a ticket to Budapest (Czech Air $200) where you can get them cleaned at O utca 42 for about USD10.

Seriously, why do I think the $65 is a minimum on a full load, 1 shirt or 12?

I'm waiting for clarification, but it looked like $62.50 for one shirt.

can't see much about the area you are staying in but the place I have mentioned is very easy for you to get to by metro, just 3 stops on the metro from Staromestska( just a short walk from your hotel )to namesti Miru, should only takes a few minutes.

I found mine through the Tourist Information office that was just across the Charles Bridge from Old Town. The guy in the TI directed me to the laundress he uses. She was located on a side alley in the Kampa area, I don't remember the name of the street but I think the cafe right near her was the Botega Cafe. I left 2 small loads in the morning and then did my sightseeing in that area and picked them up late afternoon - €10/load washed, dried, folded - no ironing. I did note that they're not open everyday but don't remember what day I took them. Check with the TI if you think that location would be convenient for you.

Thank you, Nancy. That sounds like the best deal so far. To clarify my hotel prices, it is 10.50US per t-shirt, which is still too high.

Are you able to wash and dry at a laundromat? There is a great one in Prague. It is called Prague Andys. We washed two loads and dry for about $10. There is good food and beer across the street nearby while it is washing. The staff is very nice and assists you get your stuff done quickly for the next customer. Hotel cleaning is a rip off, even in Prague. It took about 2 hours of our day, but we had nice clean clothes again.

I use a drop off pick up laundry just off Wenceslas Square when I'm in Prague. Cost about $12 a load and takes about three hours. MVM Express laundromat. If you're looking up Wenceslas Square, walk up the right side and turn right at the KFC. About 100m up on the right.

We just returned from Andys, listed above. Paid 260 kronus for a large load, wash and dry. Sweet experience. Done in a couple hours. Great restaurant across the street (Parliment), and pubs all over.
Clean, efficient and lots of travelers passing through. Real positive experience. This town is crawling with great pubs and food places. (beer for $1.50 a glass! Unreal! It will take all I can do to stay sober.)
