Prague in 1.5 Days

We arrive in Prague (first time) around 3:00 in the afternoon on a Sunday, have all day Monday in Prague, and then must leave Tuesday around 2:00 in the afternoon. We'd greatly appreciate suggestions for how to best spend our limited time. We're thinking of doing an organized walking tour, but which one? Or should we just poke around and plan to see several key places? Which places? We are staying at Hotel Questenberk, which apparently is very near Prague Castle and Strahov Monastery. I know this topic has been covered before, but not for a while, so any and all suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance!

Why don’t you look at YouTube search Prague. Nobody can write what you see. Some very good videos with great guides.

Definitely plan to visit the Palace. You can scan the QR code to buy your tickets online and avoid any lines. You could do this the day you arrive - check the closing times to make sure you have at least two hours to visit the Palace buildings and Golden Lane. The gardens on the Palace grounds are lovely. Ask at your hotel to suggest a walk in Mala Strana near the hotel in the evening, or if you prefer, walk across the Charles Bridge to The Old Town Square and wander there, catch dinner, etc. Day 2 wander around Old Town if you like what you saw. If you like Art Nouveau architecture, plan a visit to the Municipal House maybe on the day you leave. They offer tours. I also enjoyed a visit to Wallenstein Garden on the same side of the river as your hotel. Enjoy!

With one day, i would spring for a guide so you can cover more ground in an organized way with few mistakes wasting time. Doesn't have to be rushed, just organized. With 3 days I would wander on my own.

Thank you all. We decided to book two short tours on our full day in Prague--one of the palace and a few major sites in the later afternoon, and one of the Jewish quarter in the morning. I'm hoping to have several hours in between. We'll wander on our own the afternoon/evening we arrive and morning we leave, visiting Novy Svet and some of the other sites suggested here. Again, thank you everyone for your suggestions and insights.
