I am traveling to Prague in October and read about the underground tour of the catacombs under old town square. Has anyone experienced this or heard whether it is worth it or not. Also which company would you recommend booking with. The reviews I read for one company on trip advisor were poor as majority of the tour was above ground.

in all my many years of visiting the city of Prague I have never heard of underground tours and with about 14 years of talking on travel forums never seen them mentioned till now.

BTW when are you visiting in October I will be in the city from the 14th to the 21st but will be quite busy .there is a light Festival on that may be off interest to you if you are there at that time.

I've been down there a couple times. Once at night and once during the day. I can't remember the tour groups though - one was 5 years ago and the other probably 3. If you're super into underground parts of cities, it's ok. Definitely not the best underground area I've seen. And it's pretty small.
