Prague accomodation suggestions- please

We are planning to stay in Prague for 4 nights ( first week in December 2018) 2 couples ( flying into Prague and leaving by train to Vienna)
It is our first time there. we are looking for suggestions for accomodation. modest budget ( typically 100-150 euro per couple/per night - more if needed)
included breakfast would be good. also a 2 bedroom apartment or rooms with kitchen would be good.
we would prefer to be in the city, to walk around etc. ( December is worth considering)

I have already done a search on the previous topics but very little recent inquiries.
any suggestions ( about Prague) would be appreciated.

About 4-5 years ago, I was in Prague in January. We stayed at Hotel Hastal. https://www.hotelhastalprague.com/en/ The people were very nice, it included breakfast and was reasonably priced. The rooms were clean though somewhat modest, but the bathroom seemed to have been recently remodeled. The bathroom was huge and rather luxurious. They let us check in at 7:30am and we were actually upgraded, I think, to a room with a balcony and lovely view. It was on the edge of old town and close to the metro. Incidentally, I was there in January, the weather was nice enough and we didn't have that much of a problem with crowds. If you can't find a place with a kitchen, I do recall being able to find reasonably priced meals and we always picnic or eat a sandwich on the run. Have Fun! You didn't ask, but I have to put in a plug for one of my all time favorite European on hotels. Hotel Austria ( http://www.hotelaustria-wien.at/ ) is a smaller hotel and their pricing includes an incredible breakfast that even includes champagne. I have been there twice in January. Their regular priced rooms are fairly inexpensive and they also have "budget" rooms with shared baths if that would work for you. This is a really amazing hotel in a good location and so very fairly priced. You may run into higher prices in December because of Christmas markets??

Take a look at the Hotel Pod Věží (podvezi.com). Location can't be beat. We've already booked for December within your budget. It'll be our third visit.

I would check with Booking.com as they offer both hotels and apartments and you should find something in your price range. Most hotels do include a half decent breakfast buffet some better than others.
try and make a short list of places that you fancy and then post them on here and we can try and help you decide.

I stayed at Boutique Hotel Seven Days, it includes breakfast, and the rooms are huge. They also offer car service for free to airport (guessing also to train station) if you stay more than three nights. Rooms include a mini fridge, no kitchen though.

We enjoyed the Green Garland on our 2011 visit to Prague, which still seems to get good reviews and was in Rick's book at the time. If anything the rooms look nicer that there were seven years ago.

Try http://www.praguesiesta.com/. It's a quirky little set of apartments in the Tyn area of the Old Town. Classic Czech eclectic decor and 60 seconds from the Old Town Square, Christmas Tree and Market. Or on the Royal Road look out for a place called "7 Tales" if you want a more modern look.
