We are headed to Prague end of September and hope to find a place to park--as we are arriving from vienna and our hotel is north-so the goal is to park all day and late into the evening for a concert and then head to our hotel, so we don't miss a beat with check-in, etc., Does anyone know what the closest P+R is to old town? Or would we be okay finding a parking garage end of September since it is not as busy as the summer season?

Parking in Prague can be difficult and very expensive,i would suggest you read the link provided and then decide what you want to do.
personally I would park at the hotel when you arrive from Vienna and then use the excellent public transport system in the city to get to and from your concert.

from the airport you can get the 119 bus to nadrazi Veleslavin and from there the metro to most areas of the city.24 hr ticket costs 110kc , about $4. time wise about 35 minutes or so to the city centre depending on connections there may other buses and connections but check with google maps or with this website.

there were quite a few changes to the tram system about a week or so ago but all the info should be on the DPP website

Thanks Unclegas--does the bus/train run late enough? We would probably not be leaving the city till 11 pm. This is very helpful and much appreciated!

yes the metro runs till around midnight and the 119 bus till after midnight

quite easy, short walk to Mustek metro (about 5 minutes) just make sure you go for the Green line and not the Yellow line as this is an interchange station and take that to Nadrazi Veleslavin , head to the bus stop which is well sign posted and the 119 bus stop is right at the top of the steps from the metro. metro should take no more than 12 minutes and the bus to the airport takes about 15 minutes or so.
