Olomouc to Krakow

Rick says, in his Prague book, that this train ride is 4 1/2 to 6 hrs long. We're hoping to depart 10am to noon time frame. The trains I could find with the shortest travel times are as follows:
Leaving at 12:45pm, 5 hrs 45 min, with 2 changes. Another leaves at 3:50pm, 5 hrs 13 min, also with 2 changes.
Where are these trains that take 4 1/2 hrs??

Also, I've read about a train/bus combo, but can't find the company that offers that. Does anyone know what the site is?
Objective is to get from Olomouc to Krakow, mid-day or so, in a reasonable amount of time- and I was hoping for few changes.

That's one of those routes that's a lot shorter by car than train, mileage-wise. I don't know how many in are your traveling group, but maybe query CK Shuttle, private ride service, and see what they'd charge you to drive you that distance. I used them for a transfer and they were extremely reasonable. Driving distance is only about 130 miles. http://www.ckshuttle.cz

I checked the Student Agency Bus site and it looks like your train/ bus route is available and around the 4.5 hours journey time, but the earliest departure from Olomouc is 12:06. Train from Olomouc to Ostrava, Svinov then bus to Kraków.

We used Student Agency in early January 2016 out of Prague and the buses were clean, comfortable and on time. And cheap too!

thank you both, will check out private car, and the Student Agency combo.

I did find another combo, the Leo Express, website le.cz.

They have a train leaving Olomouc at 10:26, change to bus in Bohumin (4 min transfer time!) then bus to Krakow- for a total time of 3 3/4 hrs. That sounds appealing. Does anyone have experience on this routing, with this company?

The fastest connection is combo train - bus. 3 hours 24 minutes. You leave Olomouc 10:01 by RegioJet (train, private company), arrive Ostrava hlavni nadrazi (main train station), it is first stop after Ostrava Svinov at 11:04. Bus to Krakow leaves Ostrava hlavni nadrazi at 11:15, arrives to Krakow at 13:25. You did not say when you would travel. Bus goes from March 29th to October 31st. You have to reserve (buy) your tickets ahead. You can do it on this website:
