I tried to book round trip tickets on the OEBB website to take a Railjet train from Vienna to Prague; Prague to Vienna. The first leg from Vienna to Prague allowed me to reserve a seat AND to select my actual seat. The return trip from Prague to Vienna also allowed me to reserve a seat, however, it did not give me the option of selecting my actual seat. I test-tried this journey on other dates just to see if there is a problem with the date I chose, but it appears that none of the Prague to Vienna routes allow you to selct your actual seat on a Railjet train. I e-mailed OEBB, but they never replied. Does anyone in this forum know the answer to this question?
