Nine museums in five days

I've just called into the newly renovated National Museum on Wenceslas Square, where I've discover that they are offering a new multi-day multiple entrance ticket.

The ticket costs 260czk and includes one admission to each of the following museums over a five day period:

Historical Building of the National Museum

New Building of the National Museum - recently renovated and utterly spectacular

Náprstek Museum

Ethnographic Museum of the National Museum

National Memorial of the Vítkov Hill - well worth a trip, if just for the city views alone.

Lapidarium of the National Museum - a fascinating look at some of the city's old statuary, including the original statues from Charles Bridge

Czech Museum of Music - an odd spot, full of instruments that didn't quite make it into the orchestra

Antonín Dvořák Museum

Bedřich Smetana Museum

This ticket represents great value and encourages visitors to explore museums that they may not otherwise see.

sounds good, that Museum on Vitkov hill though a bit of a pain to get to is really superb ,you can actually go up in the lift to a viewing area that is right above the huge equine statue and the views are amazing .The place also often has special exhibitions on and one time I saw an exhibition of Czech music both traditional and classical with head phone you could listen to music and videos to view.another time there was an exhibition of life in the country through the 20th century with rooms set up as they would have been in the various decades. The main exhibition areas are brilliant with some great history of the country .This really is one of my favourite museums in the city. Staff are really nice in there and really seem to enjoy their jobs.

At the bottom of Zizkov hill is the Army museum but that is closed at the moment (any idea when that may reopen?) it too often has special exhibitions .

Great info. I will put it to use when I return to Prague to see the things I missed during my severely truncated 2018 visit to the city.

Good to know and info saved! I have been to the Dvorák Museum and the Czech Museum of Music and enjoyed them both.
