NHL Game in Prague Oct 4 and 5

I'm coming to Prague for the NHL game NJ Devils vs Buffalo Sabres and wonder if it will sell out. Is this a big deal for the city or more of a novelty? The prices are quite high for a hockey game and it gets even more expensive for 2, but I'm coming all the way from the US, so it would be silly to miss one.
If it's likely to sell out, I'll bite the bullet and buy the tickets, but if it's not, I can wait and hopefully see if any resellers have decently priced seats.

Also can anyone tell me where to look for tickets on the secondary market in Europe/Czechia?

Thanks!

Ice Hokey is huge in the Czech republic so I think this game could well be a sell out. I was in Prague during the Ice Hockey world cup in May this year and watched the QF and semi finals in a couple of pubs and it was hard to book a table for them but my friend in Prague managed to do that for us all.We watched the final on big screen at Riegrovy Sady beer garden and even then it was difficult to get tickets and our group of 4 was split between 2 tables, still a brilliant night and the city was totally mental for a couple of days afterwards.
Really can't help with resellers ,my advice would be to by direct from the website.

You made me curious...

This is the 11th season the NHL will travel to Europe. I tried to find ticket sales stats for the past 10 years with no success. Given that all of Europe gets a total of four NHL games this year, my guess is that you run a risk of watching from a bar.

Maybe get the $88 tickets now and look for an upgrade close to game time? I don't know Prague's rules regarding reselling tickets. Many Eurozone countries have very different laws than the US.

Where does $88 come from. I looked at the two official sellers and the cheapest I can see is a corner seat at the Sabres end for U$245 or at the Devils end for U$310. Viagogo (or via gouger as we call it) is probable the best reputable reseller. There were a lot of counterfeiting problems here during the world championship so don't go private. My advice.....buy if you can afford as you'll look back and think it was worth it.

Hey all
I bit the bullet and bought tickets for both games. I think they were about $250 a piece, but I'd have been pretty salty if I flew all the way to Prague from the US and didn't get into the games.

@Blaaamo, Good move. I wouldn't go all the way to Prague and then fail to drink Czech beer.

For anyone else going, I went to the O2 arean website and clicked through to https://www.o2arena.cz/en/events/2024-nhl-global-series-2/. The site says tickets go from 1,990 to 7,990 CZK ($90 - $320). I then looked at the available seats map. Didn't see any less than 3,990 ($180).
