What a great museum. Ironically run by an American, I think. Should be "required reading" for young people who didn't live through those terrible times in the East Bloc. I enthusiastically recommend this wonderful museum. I spent 2.5 hours there, but I think the average person could see enough in 1 to 1.5 hr. Right near Republic Square.
Yes, much better than the original location. At the end of the museum make sure you watch the cinema film from beginning to end. Even if you have to wait for it to roll around to the start it's inspiring.
