Hi,
I am planning a trip to the Czech Republic in Early May 2018. The tentative plan is to fly into Salburg, stay in Zell am see for 3 days, before moving on to Cesky Krumlov for a night and 3 nights in Prague. I was wondering if the Mikulov wine region is a good idea for that time of the year. My plan was to stay 2 nights in Mikulov and hike from Mikulov to Pavlov on one day and visit the Lednice - Valtice complex on the other day. We love small towns and like hiking in the countryside, will the weather be conducive for hiking at that time?
Also if we do this region we will have to divide our Prague stay into 2 nights before this and 1 night after this as we fly out of Prague.
Wanted the opinion of the forum if that is worth it.
Cannot guarantee weather but if you are lucky the hike could be gorgeous. Everything in bloom over Palava hills on your way from Mikulov to Pavlov. Lednice, Valtice - both beautiful chateaus, especially Lednice. Rent a bicycle for Lednice-Valtice complex. In Valtice chateau there is a salon vin. http://www.salonvin.cz . You can switch it to English.
