Main Train Station in Prague

I will be arriving at the main Prague train station, and I will be meeting somebody at the Burger King at the Arrival Hall to pick me up. I read online that the Prague train station is confusing, and it lacks signs once you exit the train and onto the platform. (My first thought was to follow the crowd at that time, but it is best to ask here instead). Can anyone direct me where to go? (I will have multiple luggage, so I will need an elevator).

Thanks.

Hi,

I would disregard what you read about Prague central station, ie Praha hl n. That's the type of advice I don't follow.

There are signs everywhere in 3 languages, Englisn being one of them. What comes over the loud speaker is likewise done in 3 languages, English included. I was there in 2016 in Praha hl n as a day trip, hadn't been back to Prague since since 1973.

The station is as modern ie, with all the expected tech aids, advances like any in western Europe. Meet at the Burger King, one can't miss that, plus everyone will recognise the name and its location.

When you get off the train take the signs for the North part of the platform and you'll find the elevators at that end. When you get out of the elevator just head down the tunnel and at the end turn left where the shops are. Burger King is in the central part of the shopping area around the corner to your right.

Hi from Wisconsin,

HLAVNI NADRAZI means main train station. Praha hl. n. Is Prague main station. It is not so big. You won't get lost. Really. Keep your head on. Remember, Burger King wants customers, so they won't be hiding.

Mainy larger non-US cities have more than one train station. Often when entering a city the train will stop at more than one station. As a tourist you should write down the nameof the station you sant to use. In Czechia you will most likely be using the hl. n. station.

Prague is one of those cities so stay in your seat until the station sign indicates Prague hl. n.

Enjoy the beer, history and music. Great city.
