Hello Steves Nation,
I tasted the green fairy last night in Cesky Krumlov and left my copy of Rick Steves Prague and Czech Republic in the bar. Headed to Salzburg area today for two nights then Prague for three. Any idea how to get a replacement copy of the book before I get to or while in Prague? Any bookstores that would carry it etc?
Good morning Hardy,
Shakespeare and Sons in Mala Strana stock it - the shop is not far from the Charles Bridge. They also have a store in Cesky Krumlov, so have a look there and they might have it.
I hope that this helps.

in Prague there are a couple of huge books stores on Wenseslas Square , you best bet is probably the one about half way up the square heading toward the Museum and the Wenseslas statue,it is on the left hand side and as you enter there is a big travel book area with loads of stuff as well as maps.Don't know if the will have the RS guides but I do think that is your best bet.
I can't rememebr the name of the place but they also have outlets in the Palladium Mall in Namesti Republicky and a smaller unit in the railway station.
I see Marcus has answered for you, well done Marcus.
Unclegus,
The chain that you're talking about is the Palac Luxor. The store is absolutely huge, but their English language section can be patchy. There are two specialist English language bookstores in town: the Globe Bookstore and Shakespeare and Son. I have found that staff to be outrageously rude in the former, and surly and unfriendly in the latter. This is surprising, given the challenge that is faced by small, independent bookshops in the current climate, as they battle the likes of Palac Luxor and Amazon. Still, I prefer not to be snarled at when I buy my reading material, so I have abandoned them both in favour of Book Depositary.

I have only been in these stores to get new updated maps.
A couple of years ago I trawled around just about every bookstore in Prague including many second hand places looking for books with Josef Lada prints especially those of Svejk but the only one I could find was a huge tome weight about 5kg and costing about 5000Kc.So if you see any around let me know.
I am particularly after a decent size print of Lada's Bar Brawl.Even been to the Lada Museum in Hrusice and could not get one.

If you have a tablet, laptop or e-reader you can buy an e-copy right now.
Thanks everyone all for the help! I got lucky and met a traveler with the book and I bought the Prague section from her. She didn't need it anymore :)
