we are trying to decide where to spend a few days Florence or Prague ?
arriving in Amsterdam end of August and have confirmed reservations in Venice for Sept 4,5,6, fly home to US on Sept 7
its too expensive to rent a car and drive to Florence and Venice due to dropoff rate
train schedule is really a long ride to Florence beause schedule takes you to Paris
so wondering if flight to Prague might be an option
anyone have a suggestion
No, driving from Amsterdam to Italy doesn't make sense for you, nor do I recommend the long, expensive train ride. You'll need to fly and it should be cheap - see www.skyscanner.com. Flying to Prague would then pretty much necessitate a second flight to Venice, while travel just between the two Italian cities is fast and affordable by train.
Flight to Prague might certainly be an option. Do you realize you could fly to Florence or Venice, too? All these cities are crowded. Venice the most then Florence and then Prague. If I had the choice between Florence and Prague, it would be Prague. In August and the beginning of September Florence is very hot. Prague could be hot too, but usually quite less.
Thx for the advice
