Hello Friends,
I wanted to know if there is an average wait time to get through immigration at the airport in Prague. One hour, two hours? Just want to have some idea if that is possible. Thanks so much for your time. Also, can I carry manufacturer sealed nuts into the country?
Are you arriving at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2? We connected through a Schengen agreement country and did not need to go through immigration when arriving at Terminal 2. Terminal 1 handles arrivals from the UK and North America.
Hello Edgar,
Based upon your info, arrival will be Terminal 1
That is nearly impossible to answer because of the number of variables that you cannot control. I would plan on an hour. Should be less than that but it will depends on the numbers of planes arriving at the same time, numbers of immigration officers on duties, etc., etc. Carry as much as you want since immigration and customs (the nuts) are two separate functions. Customs in most of Europe is a walk through the Green Door -- nothing to declare.
Thank you, Frank. Just wanted some idea. Appreciate your reply
I am in and out of T1 Prague several times a year. never had to wait longer than 10 minutes, a couple of months ago there was a huge queue for the automatic passport booths, I just squeezed past the side of the queue and went to the empty booths with manned agents, took 2 minutes.
think you should be ok with nut but best to check with import limitation into the country, I bring in cakes and biscuits on a regular basis
Thanks so much Uncle Gus. This gives me an understanding now. Appreciate your time!!
And I eat the cakes and biscuits that Unclegus brings in........ No problem with bringing in nuts in sealed bags.
Thank you, Jason. I think I have 2 tours with you, if you are the same Jason!!
Yes,Jason loves Tunnocks Carmel wafers from Scotland, but my last trip I brought him millionares Shortbread, don,t know how well it went though.Next trip I have a bottle of Malky's black IPA for Jason brewed by my brother and myself to celebrate his 60th birthday
Rockawayrox you will love the tours with Jason, lovely guy and someone I have been very happy to call my friend for these last 14 years
Oh Uncle Gus, I am thrilled that you told me this. I am so grateful to hear it. So looking forward to my first trip to Prague. Thank you !!!
How thoughtful of you to bring the beer. That is such a meaningful gift. And to be shared with friends. What great memories you will make!
Fenjoy your trip and the tours,I am not back in Prague now till May but my last trip was doing the Christmas Markets with Jason, if you look at his facebook page you will see a photo of us getting the worst for wear drinking the offerings of the markets, actualy I left Jason to head home then met up with some friends from the USA (Kansas city) for a few beers and have little memory of getting home that night. the real joys of Prague
Most of the time I go through immigration in other European city but several times when I flew from NY or Atlanta and went through immigration in Prague it took just few minutes.
