I made a reservation at this hotel weeks ago. Much to my surprise (unlike any other hotel I reserved in the CR) they asked for a deposit to hold the room. I sent them an email telling them that I would phone them with my credit card number. I did so and the person I spoke to there said she would charge my credit card. She never did and now they claim that they don't take credit card payments over the phone and they're threatening to cancel my reservation if I don't pay "to my account" but they can't or won't tell me how I'm supposed to do this from Canada. I phoned them but there's no answer. Any suggestions? I asked them if they had a PayPal account but they didn't say if they did or not.

They are also bookable through Booking.com, which won't give you all these issues.

If they are not interested in your business, try other place, for example the one suggested by Brad. If you have time I would also recommend nearby Lednice (correct spelling - means refrigerator - but has actually the warmest climate in C.R.) and Valtice.
