looking to travel there early May next year. Would like air conditioning and a locale that is not in the midst of bar life. Looking at Pension Golden Crown but happy to hear of recommendations from others. Considered St Hubertus but too many steps. Thanks in advance for your consideration.

In 2009 we stayed at Hotel Zlaty Andel in the main square of Cesky Krumlov. We were very happy with our stay here, and we loved their delicious breakfast buffet. However, it does get some negative reviews on TA. But thought I would mention it so you can decide for yourself.

You don't have to worry about bar night life in this small medieval town,
Stay on the square, we stayed 1 full day and departed the next day.
There is only 1 taxi, like 1 driver, not reliable at all.
In the morning we departed our hotel, a staff member drove us to the bus station, gave him 20 E, he was quite happy.
Its worth the trouble to see this town
look for the woman ghost walking the streets at dusk!!
