Hoping for recommendations for a Longer Term Place to Stay in Prague

I will be working in Prague for 2 and a half weeks next summer. I would appreciate suggestions for a hotel/apartment that is friendly, centrally located, and air conditioned. I will be by myself so like the idea of interacting with people and with someone at a front desk.

we love Miss Sophie's Hotel and they have a great hostel across the street. Incredible breakfast at the hostel, free walking tours every morning, happy hour at night and plenty of cafe space to work with wifi, close to Metro, 24/7 front desk staff who speak great English, excellent recommendations, easy place to meet people. They just opened up a new place by the main train station but I have only stayed at the other two locations.

Hi from Wisconsin,
See if Live for Love, or Live 4 Love, is still renting. Nice location. Pretty amazing price.

We had stayed at a corporate type apt for years but then they closed it one summer for painting and I had to find a new spot! I take a group there every summer so it was just perfect and I've always had a great experience. A few of us like to go down to the common area in the evening and have coffee or a beer, chat, play games, etc. When I stayed on my own without the group, I stayed across the street in their boutique hotel and just came over for breakfast, tour, happy hour and coffee. The staff has always gone above and beyond to help, they have metro tickets at the front desk to buy, they have change for larger bills, great recommendations, etc.

Thank you Dana. Sounds ideal. Are you referencing the prior suggestions? If no, can you kindly give me the name of your recommended hotel? I really appreciate it.

Sounds like she's referencing Miss Sophie's Hotel.

So sorry. Yes, the hostel is called Sophie's Hostel and website is sophieshostel.com and is located very near the I.P. Pavlova Metro Stop in New Town. The boutique hotel across the street is called Miss Sophie's hotel at miss-sophies.com. Both facilities have access to the "pub," breakfast and the front desk at the hostel. Hope that makes sense.

Excellent Dana, thank you so much for your very helpful reply and guidance. Sophie's locations sound exactly what I am looking for.
And thank you Janet for the clarification.
