We will be in Prague December 23 - December 28 and would like to catch a hockey game. It looks like HC Sparta is playing on the 26th. Is it possible to get tickets the day of the game at the arena, or do we need to buy them online? I looked at the Sparta Praha websites and it says there are currently no home game tickets being sold, so I don't know if that means they are sold out or just not selling online. Any other hockey clubs I should look at?

Sparta Praha is the only Prague team in the Extraliga (the top league) this season. But close to Prague there is also Rytíři Kladno in Kladno and BK Mladá Boleslav in Mladá Boleslav. Not sure what their ticket selling policy is though.

Tickets are on sale online. You can buy on the day but for this game it will likely sell out. The O2 Arena uses external ticketing so it's Ticketportal or Ticketmaster. Personally I prefer Ticketportal. Go to the link https://www.ticketportal.cz/event/HC-Sparta-Praha-Rytiri-Kladno and click on the orange "koupit" tab. It takes you to a map of the arena seating. Look at the areas which are colour coded based on price and next to them are numbers in brackets which tell you how many available seats. You need to find places together. Full circles are available (volne) and empty circles are booked (obsazene). Click on the circles to put them in your basket, then pay. The area 106/107 is standing room only. Avoid 117/118 because it's for away fans. If you book online you either get QR codes or a ref number which you take to the appropriate ticket office on the day to get your entry tickets.

Thank you both for the quick reply. And thanks Jason for all the advice you have given me for Prague! The directions on how to navigate the TicketPortal site worked and we have our tickets. Go Sparta!

Hello, I will be in Prague Feb 8-15, and would like to get tickets to a Rytíři Kladno (Kladno Knights) game. It looks like they play on the 14th, but I can't find where I can buy these tickets online. Can anyone recommend what website to use to purchase tickets?

They've not published the events for that week yet. Keep an eye on the page at https://hckladno.enigoo.cz/app/ticketrytirikladno/events. When your match appears just follow the tickets link (vystupenky) and Kladno uses a system called enigoo. Select the seating section (avoid section 6 as it's for away fans), select the seat, go to cart, pay and get your QR code.
