Help with seat reservations on train

I thought that I successfully navigated the cd.cz site to purchase train tickets from Vienna to Prague. I chose specific seats since we wanted to be by our luggage. When I looked at the completed order, no seats are reserved. Does anyone know how I can go back in to my reservation and reserve seats? I can't figure it out. The only option seems to be refund.

Thanks

I dont know about tge Czech system but most (many?) of the others has a selection on the first page for seat reservation only because seats are sold independently of tickets (as well as with). In practice on most company sites you dont have to buy a ticket to buy a seat. So go back and check again.

If you go into the ticket buying system for your train, click on buying a ticket then click the down arrow, then click 'purchase reservations only'.

For instance the next no change train today as I write is at 1310 (it's too late to reserve or buy a ticket on line for the 1110)- the RJ250- a reservation only will cost 74CZK (or US3.55) and there is no shortage of seats. The train is very quiet, at least for people who have booked seats.

The seat reservation is wholly independent of having a ticket or not- the usual use would be if you had a pass such as inter-rail (although the reservation would have been free if done at the same time as buying the ticket).

Thanks all! One more question - I am booking tickets for April. I see a choice that sat says Early Bird Europe and one that says Early Bird International. The Early Bird International ticket allows you to change trains after purchase which is not important to us. If we are all US citizens, can we book the Early Bird Europe tickets?

cd.cz. I emailed them and they got back to me. Tickets are not dependent upon country of residence. Thanks

When travelling from Vienna to Prague, would it be slightly cheaper to buy the ticket from the Austrian OBB site instead of the Czech cd.cz site?

funpig, i presume it might depend on which train. The only way to know with any certainity is to look at both sites.

EDIT: I got curious so I looked at one direct train in April. CD looks like more but includes a seat reservation. OBB with the seat reservation is the same cost more or less depending on how you do with the currency conversion. On the one train on the one day in April. RegioJet is cheaper than both of them.

For the one day that I checked RegioJet wanted 28.9 euro for 2nd class including the seat. But for 43.90 euro you can go Business class which is still cheaper than OBB 2nd class (depending on which train and the date) and with that you get:

The Business comfort class means premium service and maximum comfort.
Above-standard features with leather seats, entertainment portal,
Wi-Fi and priority service by our staff. Rajec water, Illy coffee,

their journey with above-standard service.
