I am looking for a recommendation for a walking tour company in Prague like London Walks or Paris Walks. I see where Prague has a number of private guides and walking tours that are "free." I have already booked one tour via the Kafka museum but I would like one that is a general orientation to Prague. Thanks so much!
This was discussed quite recently:

I left Prague on Friday after 4 days. I took 2 free tours. Let me tell you that at the meeting place for both tours there were about 4-5 other free tour groups, some from the same company. So just google free walking tour and determine the one that you like best. Some are very specific, Prague Castle and some more general but include different places in the city. It was 4 gloriously sunny days but never saw so many umbrellas (tour guides).
Just returned from Prague also. 2nd time there. I have taken 2 paid walking tours. I'd recommend taking the free ones. This time, through Viator, we thought the walking tour included Prague castle and cathedral (descriptions are vague). As our last one hadn't in 2022. Our 6 hour tour was 16,000 steps with a ride up the funnicular and toured the grounds of Prague castle. Guide said the cues are too long to include in the tours. Went to Lesser Town and Old town. Ours also included lunch, which was fine, and a boat ride. The boat ride had a long cue, our tour actually took 7 hours. The boat just went in circles due to the locks on the river. Wouldn't recommend, except you get to sit and rest. Also, tours talk about seeing the Jewish cemetery and quarters. THey just pointed at areas and buildings. I think tours should be separated. Lesser town and Old town.
Prague is beautiful. Stayed in Lesser Town and loved being in this neighborhood. Walking the 2 bridges at night was beautiful! Took a Ghosts, Legends and Medieval Underground tour. Walked a ton, didn't care for being underground much. Most of it was about legends.
Today, I took a tour with Jason of LivingPragueTours. I took his Old Town and Jewish Quarter Tour.
It was good. He tells you exactly what you will be seeing and that you won't be going into any of the sights. By passing by and telling you, in some detail, you cover more ground. The tour lasts 2.5 hours and has a maximum of six people.
He does have other tours that go into many of the sights.
