Great Hotels in Prague? Suggestions, please

Hello,
We are visiting Prague in June of 2020 - looking for suggestions on places to stay, hotels that are in a great location.

Can you please include some recommendations? We don't want the most expensive hotel - but, we'd love a nice hotel (maybe 4 star) located in a fun area with lots to do.

thank you!
Jaime

I give another nod for Hotel Hastal. Great location, well appointed rooms, delicious breakfast items, and very helpful staff.

I just stayed at the Grand Bohemia Prague and loved it. Great location and awesome breakfast.

We loved Miss Sophie's Hotel and Sophie's Hostel near Wenceslas Square and near Pavolova metro stop. We've used their airport transportation service too. We walked or took tram to Old Town Square and found lots of great restaurants near the hostel and hotel. I've stayed at both. The guests of the hotel (it's a mall boutique hotel across the street from the hostel) have access to the amazing and affordable breakfast at the hostel; the quiet, casual bar area at the hostel where you can enjoy happy hour, drinks, games, snacks, meeting folks, etc. And, the front desk has English speaking staff who are so helpful with recommendations, buying metro tickets, etc. The free walking tour that meets there every morning is really good! I've been going there for years and never have been disappointed with the hotel or hostel.

Hotel Residence Agnes is the best! Five star staff and service that checks all the boxes.

Hotel U prince on Old Town Square. There is a restaurant on the roof terrace with gorgeous views. One of the best bars in the hotel cellar. Hotel Golden Well in Mala Strana - right under the Castle.

Another vote for Hotel Hastal! Great location ... You can walk easily to the town square, the employees are helpful, great breakfast and very clean and decent sized rooms!

Miss Sophies is a good choice. We have stayed in their Olomouc hotel last year. We have stayed twice at Hotel Anna in Vinohrady (found through the NY Times 36 hours in Prague). It is comfortable if you’d like to be a bit out of the tourist area (but just a few metro stops away).

I second @TravelBug79: Hotel Agnes was a clean and comfortable hotel in a great location. But the service was the best I have ever experienced. Would definitely stay there again.

Any of the three Alchymist hotels but we are partial to their Prague Castle Suites. Very special, close to everything.

I can't say enough about the Hotel Pod Věží (https://www.podvezi.com). I've stayed there 3 times in the past 5 years, including once on an extended family trip where we had many rooms. Literally located at the end of Charles Bridge on the castle side.

I can't speak as to the Hotel Pod Věží, but I've stayed across the street at Domus Bathazar a couple times and if I go back I'll do it again. Fantastic location, great small hotel with excellent rooms and staff. One of the most comfortable places I've ever stayed in, and I'm in hotels 60-90 days a year.

Obviously I don't stay in hotels in Prague as I live in Prague, but I've toured lots of people who have spoken well of:

Hotel Josef

Hotel Pod Vezi

Hotel Unitas

Imperial Art Deco

Hotel Boho

Alchymist

Dominican

The Marriott and the Hilton Old Town are very well located (a two-minute walk from the medieval city gate, with a metro station and a tram stop outside the tour). If you had hotel points accrued, I would definitely opt for one of these to two hotels.

As long as we're on the topic, anyone have first-hand experience with the Hotel Rott? It looks quite nice on several you tube videos
