Getting to the Prague Airport

The Airport lists the multiple options you can use to get there 2 hours before the flight at least.

you need at least 40 minutes to get to the airport maybe an hour at the time you are going as it will be rush hour.be there 2 hours before your flight.
taxi or private shuttle would be best at around 600kc but if you want to use public transport let me know exactly where you are staying as there are several public transport options and they vary on where you are staying

Just to ease the stress level, we have decided to book a 1 o'clock flight instead of the 10am flight. That way we'll have plenty of time to make it to the airport. Still undecided on a hotel in Prague.

One thing to verify is method of payment for your taxi or shuttle. We were in Prague two weeks ago. Our hotel arranged for a taxi to pick us up at 5:00 am for an early flight. We were told the driver would take a credit card—he did not. So at 5:30 am we were getting Czech crowns from an ATM at the airport because we had purposely spent all our money at dinner the night before.

It depends on taxi. Some are equipped for credit cards, some not.

I have the same question...we will be staying at "House at the Big Boot" and our flight leaves at 9:30am. We would want to be there by 7:30am and it sounds like about 40 minutes to the airport? Will the regular public transportation be available at that time? Any suggestions on the quickest/easiest way to get to the airport from where we're staying?

Lars, looks like it could be a bit awkward for you to use public transport to the airport without having to do a bit of walking and a few changes of transport, I think a taxi or private shuttle will be the best bet for you

this is from the hotel website, as you can see they make it sound easy but as someone who uses public transport in Prague a lot I would not fancy this way of getting to and from the hotel especially carrying bags.

When I checked a few weeks ago for our 6:30 am flight out of Prague, the public transportation started at 5 am. We opted to book a room in the airport at their lounge which has private rooms for $70. All of the airport hotels were really expensive.
