HI
Would someone have information about getting to Bouzov Castle outside of Olomouc by public transportation? I have been searching, but I can't find any information about getting there by public transportation. Is it a nice castle for a day trip? Thank you.

I don't know anything about that castle. Olomouc itself is very picturesque.
Rome2Rio.com can be helpful in cases like this by advising as to whether you're likely to find rail and/or bus service covering part of all of the trip, though here it appears you'll probably need a taxi to finish the trip: https://www.rome2rio.com/map/Olomouc/Bouzov-Castle.
Understand that Rome2Rio has some pretty severe limitations. Experience has taught me not to trust the travel times for buses and trains, or their frequencies, or their fares. You need to drill down until you find a link to the appropriate company's website, where one hopes schedules will be available. Time permitting, I go by the tourist office in the town where I'm staying and check with the staffers about transportation options. On rare occasions there is local bus service Rome2Rio doesn't know about.
Here it appears the train gets you closer than a bus would, perhaps resulting in a slightly less expensive taxi ride, so if it's convenient I suggest stopping at the train station to verify the schedule with the experts.
Before you set out for the castle, Google for the telephone number of taxi companies serving the town where you run out of public transportation options in case there's no taxi waiting at the station when you arrive. I have done things like this without having a cellphone I could use to make a local phone call, but I go in knowing that it may cause me grief--though it never has, so far.
I don't know Bouzov, but both the Rough Guide and the Wikipedia describe it as a late 19th-century reconstruction of former incarnations. It is also rather a hassle to get there from Olomouc: you need a train to Moravicany (running every 2 hrs) and from there a taxi. And then, of course, to arrange a taxi to take you back for the return trip to Olomouc.
Have you considered Kromeriz as a day trip? An surprisingly attractive town, with good rail connections from Olomouc.
Thank you all for the information. I just came across that castle name when I was doing research on Olonouc. You are all correct. It is not easy to get there by public transportation. I guess I will have to forget about that place. Thanks again.

Thanks for bringing Bouzov to my attention. It's now gone on the "to explore" list, especially as I am hunting for a wedding venue at the moment!
scythian is very well informed. May be because he lives not too far away in Gyor (I know "o" with umlauf, don't know how to make it on this keyboard). I can simplify the website for the public transportation in the whole Czech Republic. Just write http://www.idos.cz . Easy to remember and it will automatically take you to the link posted by scythian. If you want to buy a ticket you can also do it on this website. It will automatically switch you to cd.cz . Another thing: you can switch the website to English or German.
A debt of gratitude is in order for drawing Bouzov out into the open. It's presently gone on the "to investigate" list, particularly as I am chasing for a wedding setting right now!
Yes, they do weddings. My niece had her wedding there.
