Getting around Prague with senior traveler

I'm thinking of making a trip to Prague for the Christmas markets. I took my 80 year old mom with me for one week in Vienna for the 2019 markets there, and we loved it! Not to mention all the museums and Christmas concerts as well! It was a busy week with so much to see and do. I had started looking into going to Prague for Christmas 2020 just as covid shut everything down. :(

A few questions:
- Vienna had a lot to see besides just the markets. Does Prague similarly have a lot to see - museums, Christmas concerts, etc.
- In Vienna, we stayed across the street from the Opera House. Convenient with a tram stop and the subway entrance at our front door. And then there were the handy little buses around the center. Of course there was a lot of walking, which mom handled well, but having the transportation options to trim off steps when we could helped a lot. And everywhere we went in Vienna was basically flat. What's the situation like in Prague? Are all the main sights in a compact area? What is city transportation like? From some photos, it looks like there are some hills. Hills are not something my mom can do on foot.

Thanks for any and all help!

Prague is a great city for walking, also has good public transportation and there is a ton to see and do.

Yes, there are hills in Prague. Maybe you can use a taxi if there is something you want to see up high. My recollection is that the castle is up a daunting hill. For the rest, there are trams; and most of the sights are not up high. There is a magnificent Jugenstihl hall, Obecni Dum, where I would expect there will be concerts at Christmas time. The hall, itself, is so gorgeous you have to buy tickets to see it with a guide. If there are concerts there, I would get tickets as soon as you have your dates set.
The Lobkowiscz Palace is also a venue for concerts.
The old Jewish quarter is also very interesting.

There are buses up the hill to the castle. Don't miss it.
