We have just returned from our trip and the advice we received on this forum was so helpful to us. Many people asked questions in the past about getting to C. Krumlov so here is some feedback. In Terminal 1 there is a Student Agency Bus desk/booth along wall with the other companies - such as car rental, shuttle booking, etc. We arrived around 11 AM and the man at the desk was extremely helpful. First, he sold us tickets on the 12 Noon bus. Then, we asked how to get to the bus station. He was explaining that it would not take more than an hour, so we would not miss the bus, and how he suggested we take either bus or metro to get there. Then, remembering some of the forum participants had suggested taking a cab as it was so much quicker and less stressful, we asked about a taxi. He said it would be only a 10 - 15 minute drive but was quite expensive, 800 Czech corunas. When we said that would be fine, he then told us he could arrange a vouchure for a taxi for only 750 corunas. That sounded fine to us. He called the taxi, told the driver where we needed to go, and arranged for the driver to come to the Student Agency Bus desk to collect our bags and take us to his car. The driver was there in only 5 minutes and we were very happy with the service.
The bus itself works like an airline flight. There is a bus attendant who speaks English that passes out free newspapers, serves free beverages as well as some others offered for sale, and makes safety announcements about buckling your seatbelts, etc. The bus was clean, comfortable, and the driver was a safe driver in spite of the roadwork and traffic slowdowns he encountered. We would highly recommend this as an easy way to get to C. Krumlov and get to see some of the beautiful countryside.
