Hi,We will be in Prague this June. One of my 'Must See ' is the one that I always see in the pictures .It is the lighted Castles in the back during the evening. Is there an evening cruise we can take for this?
To me, there is something magical about looking at Castles . We have never been up close to one.
Thanks.
Yes, Prague at night with all sights skillfully lit is really magical. There are plenty of cruises to choose from. Google night river cruise in Prague. You can also enjoy the views of the Castle from Charles Bridge and the right bank of Vltava River around there. Prague Castle is not really a castle as you imagine it. Rather it is a complex of palaces, churches and courtyards. If you want to see a real castle then the closest to Prague and probably the most photogenic one is Karlstejn. It's doable in about half day.
Just to clarify, while you can certainly take a cruise in Prague, you do not need to take an evening cruise to see the castle lit up; you can do that from various vantage points in town.
To take the evening cruise or watch the castle lit up, is that close to downtown area? The reason is we are staying in downtown area. Thanks.
It is in downtown.
Just being on the Charles Bridge at dusk should give you some great castle views and pictures
The cruises are just moving along at about 4-5 mph, and they just look a little boring to me.
There is a Jazz cruise with dinner that might be good for the entertainment.
From different places in the city, the lights on the parliament building and other building are pretty neat.
