Eating and drinking near Andel

I’ll be staying near Andel at the end of May. I’ve been to Prague several times but this is my first time that side of the river.

Anyone ( Uncle Gus? ) have anywhere to recommend in that area?

Or anywhere else really, given how easy transport is.

Thanks

Alan

great place, really nice courtyard area to sit in if the weather is nice, great food and they usually have a very decent and very cheap lunchtime memu.one of the few places in the city that you can get tank Radegast beer.

another regular haunt for me and another place with a nice but smallish outdoor area,Kozel pub, good food and great beer, service can be a hit or a miss but I have always found it good

huge place with various bars and food is pretty good, tank pilsner urquell.big outdoor area,my only complaint is that you have to ask for the key for the toilets.

the bar of the Staropramen brewery, there is actually 2 places next door to each other , one is just the bar the other the restaurant, you can try the whole range of Staropramen beers, food is good and service excellent, can get busy though.

you have to go through an little alley to get to this place but great place, about 12 beers on tap from all over the Czech republic, food is pretty decent and service good.

these are all places I have been in several times most of them in the last year and can recommend them highly.

this is a new micro brewery that I have not been to before,I have a friend that works in the Andel area and going to meet him there for lunch in a couple of weeks time.

Hope this helps, but as I have said there really are numerous places to try in the area,so try a few and let us know how you get on.
Andel is a great Tram /metro hub so easy to get to lots of places from there.

Uncle Gus

Brilliant, thanks. Just what I was looking for.

That should keep me going for an evening or two!

Cheers

if you are there on a Saturday there is a very good market on at Naplavka on the other side of the river, you will see it quite easily, several craft beer stalls there and an ideal place for a Saturday lunch on the hoof.
