Will many places be open on those days. Example tourist places and restaurants.

yes you won't notice much difference.many museums tend to be closed Mondays anyway and the public transport will run a Sunday service on the Monday but that is still great.Pubs and restaurants will be open as normal,most of the big stores will be closed but for your average tourist it will be fine.
