I will be in Prague in September 2025. I will need to take some sort of transportation from my lodging near the National Film Museum to the Flixbus pickup spot at the Main Railway station about 2 miles away according to Google Maps. What is the easiest way to get there? I have never used Uber but have downloaded the app in anticipation of using it on this trip. Are there lots of Uber drivers there? Taxis? A metro bus that goes there? Thank you for any suggestions.
The red trams are the easiest way to get around Prague. In this case you want Tram#5 or Tram#9 to Prague’s main train station called “Praha hlavni nadrazi or “Praha hl.n.”
You also could take the green metro line from the “Mustek” station one stop to the “Muzeum” station. At Muzeum you would transfer to the red metro line and take it one more stop to “Praha hl.n.”
You also could hoof it because the walk is less than one mile (7/10) from Prague’s National Film Museum ( NaFilM) to Praha hl.n.
If you’re out at night and need a taxi— Uber is the way to go because the price will be lower than a regular taxi, will be known to you in advance, and since it’s paid through the App. it’s impossible for a taxi driver to use creative ways to boost the fare.
Have fun in Prague!
the Flix bus area is in Florenc which is not near the train station, can you check exactly where you need to go . If the bus station at Florenc, the it is a very short walk to Mustek metro and 2 stops to Florence, then another couple of minutes walk to the bus station,
just been thinking, sometimes buses pick up on the main road above the train station (Wilsonova) it is on the upper level of the train station and the stop will be next to the Airport Express bus.if this is the case I would just walk unless you have heavy luggage. The route Kenko suggest would work fine but you will end up walking as much under ground, up and down escalators etc than you would just doing a straight walk. Both Mustek and Muzeum metros are interchange stops so there is a lot of walking underground.
For Prague - and other central European countries - you may find Bolt to be as good if not a better choice than Uber. Just keep in mind that you most likely will have to wait until you're in a country that Bolt serves before you can create an account.
