Day trip to Bohemian Switzerland National Park

Heyyy

I am visiting Prague from 24 June to 28 June. Can i know what is the cheapest way to get from prague to Bohemian switzerland national park? Other than that, can i also know the cheapest way to get to Kutna Hora?

Also, what other day trips are nice from prague? im trying to weigh my options.

Thanks for your help in advance!

(i just went to croatia (split, dubronvik and zagreb) and also a day trip to ljubljana. Please let me know if you have any questions to these places)

It looks like the German town of Schöna is exactly across the Elbe from the park. I can't get Czech Rail (cd.cz) to give me a price for a ticket from Prague to Schöna, but you can get one online from the German Rail website for 23,10€ per adult, one way.

Czech Rail will give me a price for one adult, one way, from Prague to Decin, a larger city just south of the park for 159 Kc (about 5,78€).

I imagine you could purchase the ticket all the way to Schöna at the station in Prague.

I don't know how you would get into the park from either Schöna or Decin; there are probably buses.

For Kutna hora just get the train from the main railway station. I can't remember the price (I was last there in November) but it is very cheap. You can walk to the bone Church in Sedlac in about 10 minutes and the main town is another 20 minutes or so walk from there, there are local buses you can use which are cheap and the Bone Chuch runs a shuttle into the main town that takes you above St Barboras Cathedral. we used it in November and it cost around 250Kc for 6 of us.

if you fancy a nice days walking that is easy to get to from Prague try this one.

I have done it a few times. Train to Karstejn takes about 40 minutes and then a 15 minute walk up the hill to the castle which you can a quick look at , you can get into the main courtyard and some of the battlement without doing a tour.
the walk takes a total of 4.5-5 hour walking but there is a great stop off point in St.John's under the rock, there is a small hotel there that does cheap food and cheap beer. the walk from there to Beroun takes about another 90 minutes or so. Not difficult walking but there are a few steep bits.
In Beroun there is a great micro brewery a short walk from the train station called Berounsky Medved it is set in an scrap yard (I kid you not) makes there own beer which is great and the food there is good without being brilliant.
Train back to Prague takes about 50 minutes from there and they run every 30 minutes or so.
Total cost for you day out including transport , meals and a few beers will be well under 500kc.
last time I did this walk I left Prague about 8.20 in the morning and was back in the city by 5 pm and that allowed me time to look round the castle visit the Church at St johns, have lunch and a beer, a couple of beers in Berounsky Medved and then train back to Prague, never rushed just a nice great day out walking.

"I guess i will skip the national park since it seems pretty difficult to go."<

It isn't difficult. What you should know: Bohemian Switzerland is just the Czech part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, and the German part, called "Saxon Switzerland", is much bigger. It's quite difficult to get to the heart of Bohemian Switzerland, but it's very easy to see the heart of Saxon Switzerland, the Bastei area.
You have to take the train to Dresden, get out at Bad Schandau and take the next S-Bahn (S1) to Rathen. There you have to take the small ferry to the other side of the river and just follow the other tourists up to the bridge. You can book the train in advance at www.bahn.de, and prices start at 47€.
