Hello,
I have been doing a lot of research trying to find the best rate on tickets from Prague to Krakow during the day. The night train is not an option for us. It seems that buying direct from the Czech eshop is the best way to do this. The prices seem to be about 1/3 of the cost of buying them through a third party site. Has anyone done this and if so do you just print your tickets out or is there some other way to collect them. Thanks in advance for any help.

Even you have to buy them in Prague, it will still be a great price. Take one of the Super Cities trains. 2nd class is as nice as 1st class on German trains and the bar car is a rolling Czech pub. They serve meals at your seat if you want.

Thank you for the information. I want to make sure our tickets are set before we leave, if possible. That is why I am thinking about using the site. So, first and second class are the same?

I don't know about 1st class, but when I boarded I asked if this was 1st class, and a helpful stranger was giving me directions to the 1st class cars, but I said no, I had 2nd class tickets, but the interior of the carriage was so nice I thought I might have boarded the wrong one. Seats are 1-aisle-2 across. You might check out http://www.seat61.com/Czech.htm for guidance on tickets. You will have to scroll down quite a ways to get to "How to buy tickets on-line" and some pictures of the interiors of Super Cities trains. I was traveling on a Bayern-Boehmen Ticket.

Hello, thank you. Yes I looked at seat61. He gives instructions for purchasing tickets and it looks like you can print them out. Did you order them online before you went?

Beginning October 29 you can fly Ryanair from Prague to Krakow for $47 to $80. Flights are on Sunday and Thursday. Flight time is 1:05. Flight departs at 11:45.
