CZK denominations

I'm getting 2,200 CZK in pocket money in advance of our arrival in Prague. What denominations do you recommend that we should request? Thank you.

100,200 and 500 mixture should do you.Check that they are the new notes with the wider security band.

my mate who is a regular traveller to the city got caught out a couple of months ago as he still had an old 200kc note in his wallet. The bank changed them easy enough but not before having to fill in a form and wait in a queue to do so.

Harwood, who are you getting them from? My bank doesn't take requests, just the fewest number of bills they have on hand. I'd get the smallest possible if you can.

Uncle Gus and Stan: Thank you very much. I would not have known that about the wider security band. Pertinent and valuable info. Time is at a premium and I don't want to waste it standing in a line. @stan - AAA (I know the rate is bad, but's it's convenient and I have other reasons). I'll ask them if they can give me small bills and also in denominations as recommended by Uncle Gus. Thanks again to both of you.

Harwood, for some currencies AAA used to offer a "pack" including a variety of bills. I dont know if thats still true, and I understand local AAA offices are run independently.

i'm headed for Prague in September so intend to get some myself.
