Day 8 - Brno
Day 9 - Brno/Bratislava

Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unless you've been to Prague, Vienna and Budapest before, you're really missing out on spending enough time in these great cities.

Prague -> Cesky Krumlov
Yes, there is a daily direct train from Praha hl.n. at 8:01 to Cesky Krumlov arriving 10:55.

There are also options for connecting trains, buses and CK Shuttle if you'd like door to door service.

You can find most of your other connections here:

Thank you for the replies.
David - I'm not intending to go to Vienna. Most of the info online I found said that 4 days in Budapest and 3 days in Prague should be enough (this would be my second time in Prague).
My main concerns were regarding transportation and the overnight in Eger. Not sure if I should move Eger to Day 14 and come back to Budapest for another night before flying back home.
Thank you CWsocial for the Web site info!

Eger to the Budapest airport? Sure. Why not? All depends on your flight time and how much hassle you want that day .... oh, and how you are traveling back from Eger.

Personally, with so little time in Budapest I would replace Eger with a day trip to Szentendre followed by a good wine bar to sample the wines of Eger and the other 21 Hungarian wine regions.

My wife and I did an itinerary much like this in 2011 but in the opposite direction. I think two nights in Telc is worth it, because it's just such a pleasant town. Three full days in Prague is OK but the day trip means you might want to extend that a day. Budapest is good for four full days. We stopped in Sopron for night which I recommend highly. Rather than a single night in Eger you could do it a a day trip from Budapest. We also went to Olomouc, and found that the buses as a supplement to trains in this regions worked very well. For example, we took the bus from Telc to Cesky Krumlov, and also from Olomouc to Telc with a change in Brno.
