Czech currency question

Will be visiting Prague in December. We usually take some money with us , not a huge amount, but like to have some for smaller purchases.

How much would a cup of coffee cost in Czech Koruna’s? Or how much would the average dinner cost? Not a 5 star place but decent restaurant.

Just trying to figure out how much currency to order ahead of time.
Thanks in advance..

Just convert whatever dollar amount you're comfortable with. We found prices about the same as in the US or other places in Europe at the equivalent exchange rate. That is, if you would feel comfortable in the US with $100 USD in your pocket, get the equivalent (approximately 2400 koruna). My bank lets you specify how many USD you want to use. Assuming you will use credit card for most other purchases, including decent restaurants..

I actually took some leftover British pounds and Swiss francs, and bought koruna at the airport on the way, to get me started. Then, an ATM a couple of times.

Current exchange rate has 1 Koruna worth $.042. So a $2.50 cup of coffee would run about 60Koruna. A $35 dinner, about 835 Koruna.

Simplest and least expensive way to get Koruna would be to use any bank ATM in Prague.

And there are the Xmas vendors, who probably want cash.
Have a wonderful trip! Safe travels!

FYI: I am currently in Prague and so far I have been able to pay for everything with my credit card.
