In researching it seems I need a ticket which can be purchased at metro, tram or bus with a credit card. However, I found in one place that "Credit cards are now in almost every bus, tram and on metro entrance". So can I tap a yellow or orange box or do I use credit card to get a ticket? Any insight on this would be so appreciated. Thanks in advance.
If you buy at a metro station then you have the option of contactless payment by card or Chip'n'pin where you insert your card into a reader and enter your security pin. If you buy on a bus or tram then you use the orange box which only accepts contactless card payment. The yellow boxes are only for validating paper tickets that you have already bought.
Thanks Jason!
