Is there anyone familiar with where to get an antigen test for travel back to the US? I have also emailed my hotel and will post their response if I get one.
My tour clients have been using GHC on Wenceslas Square. Go to https://covid-ghc.com/ and follow the 5 steps. Note that you will be a "Self Payer", the testing point is "Wenceslas Square", you need the "Basic Antigen" test and you have the option to tick a box to get a printed copy for an extra cost. Address and telephone number are requested but not important but make sure your email address is correct because that is where you receive the confirmation and code. Test plus printed result is @14 Euros. When the form is completed you get a bar code. 24 hours before you fly you just turn up at their office, show them the code and get what you need. Good luck.
Thank you Jason!
I am very excited to be visiting your city.
What is the turnaround time to receive the email with the test 15 minutes?
Yes- must be within 24 hours of flight so the prior day for most people.
Are there additional site that you can recommend that might be cheaper?
Airport is one big ripoff.
For the time, you take the antigen test and wait 30 minutes for the result/email/copy.
For the price, my suggestion above is 8 euros for the test and 6 euros for the hard copy so you won't find much cheaper.
GHC still offers PCR but currently I don't know who would need that if you are just here for tourism.
Jason’s info will be the most up to date. In December, we used a place we stumbled on accidentally above the Tesco at MY, Národní 63/26, Nové Město, 113 89 Praha 1 when we went to go see the Franz Kafka head. It just happened to be closer to our hotel - but, of course, I have no way to know if it’s still there.
I will be in Prague in August seeking to fa budget place to stay if I fail the antigen test as US requires a neg antigen to board airline flights to US.
It would be unfortunate but I'd have to stay in a room somewhere in Prague.
Any specific places and ideas?
