Christmas week

Plan on being in Prague for 5 days in December, including Christmas Eve and day. Will anything be open? Any events like concerts? A bit concerned...

So, for us Europeans you need to confirm if you are thinking that Christmas Eve is the 24th? If so then remember that the 24th is the main holiday here i.e. the Czech Christmas Day.

We are going to be in Prague on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well! We are looking at attending a concert on Christmas Day--there are many to choose from on Pragueexperience.com (https://www.pragueexperience.com/opera-concerts/opera-concerts.asp?EventYear=2019&EventMonth=12). We plan to eat at the Christmas Market on Christmas Eve (I understand that it is open, albeit it may close a bit early)? I also understand they serve Langos, which we loved in Budapest, so wanting that and my fav--the Trndl! Can't decide where we should eat---we are staying at the Iron Gate Hotel and Suites, Praha 1.

It's my understanding that reservations would be important for Christmas Day. There are some recommendation on Prague Experience, but wondered if anyone had a recommendation for a mid-priced restaurant that will be sure to be open on Christmas Day? Thanks much! Always depend on info from these forums, no one has steered me wrong yet!

Claudia, you could just scroll by instead of being snappy!

I will also be in Prague from the 20th-26th December, and I appreciate the answers here and question by the OP.

Is anyone considering Christmas Eve masses? That’s why I’m looking for.
