Hi, Need recommendations for restaurants in Prague that take reservations for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day meals that have festive Christmas environment. Is Christmas Eve dinner more traditional there, and maybe Christmas Day lunch? Willing to splurge on these days. Thanks!
Any of the major chain hotels - Hilton, Four Seasons, Marriott, Intercontinental - will all do a Christmas Day dinner. It will be a traditional Anglo-style dinner, with all the trimmings.
Traditional Czech Christmas dinner is a rather underwhelming affair - fried carp and potato salad on Christmas Eve. So if you're looking for turkey and ham, try one of the major hotels.
Christmas Eve dinner is very traditional: fried carp and potato salad. Carp is from south Bohemia ponds, better than asian carp which you can buy here. After dinner family members go for their gifts under the Christmas tree. There are some restaurants open for tourists (locals eat home on Christmas Eve) so I am sure you can get some other meal than carp.

have a look at this website, some good info on Christmas in Prague and they usually put up a list of restaurants that are open for Christmas meals they also have a free restaurant booking service. Christmas even is the traditional time for folk to celebrate and you will find many places will be closed from early afternoon. on Christmas day places will start opening again from around midday.
Thanks everyone, will follow up on your suggestions. Heading to Budapest the day after Christmas!

Which you understand is Boxer Day, and some things will still be closed. Best to find a restaurant for dinner in advance and make reservations.
Here is a pretty broad cross section of types, costs and parts of town, that will be open.
