Traveling for christmas holiday with family and mother in law and wanted suggestiona for hotel and where to stay in prague and what to expect on christmas day. From 23 -25 december 6 person parents (3 daughters 21-18-15) and mother in law 70 feeling like 50 !

I make no recommendations for hotels as that will come down to availability and budget but start your search in the Old Town. The 24th is the main holiday here so independent businesses, larger supermarkets and state institutions will close for both the 24th and 25th but as a tourist you'll find almost no difference. Actually there are more tourist places closed on any Monday than at Christmas. Because the holidays fall wed-thurs-fri this year you'll find Czechs may take the whole week off so less Czechs around but this is offset by more tourists coming here for the markets. Churches will have restricted access over the holiday period. Note the Castle will be closed on the 24th. Jewish sites are not affected.
