Is anything open on Dec24 and 25th in Prague??
Thanks for your help.
I would imagine some restaurants, bars, maybe Christmas markets till 2 pm on the 24th and evening on the 25th (maybe).
Our experience at that time of year in Prague and Munich about eight years was that everything starts shutting down around 3 pm on Christmas eve. We hit a restaurant that warned us when we arrived about 4 pm that they would be closing at 6pm. The only that appear to be open Christmas eve and day were restaurants associated with large hotels. And they were packed. We were advised by our tour guide the day before to lay in a good supply of food and snacks and wine. Our hotel had a nice roof top garden and that is where we had our Christmas day meal.
I guess I absolutely believe Frank. A lesson for me in not assuming all of Central Europe is like Budapest (never terribly difficult to reserve a table 24, 25 or 26, but smart to do it early as a lot of restaurants are closed 1 or 2 of those nights). Its why travel is so much fun, every place is different.
Thank you for your help.
