Cesky Krumlov Walking Tour

Hello all,
A group of us will be in Prague the last week of December and are planning to do a day trip to Cesky Krumlov. Does anyone have a recommendation for a guide who can provide a walking tour in English? We are thinking 2 hours for the tour to give us some time left over to explore by ourselves. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Check the TI. I seem to recall going on one of those no cost pay by tip tours. As I recall, helpful and informative. It may have been sponsored by the TI or maybe that's just how we found out about it. Although info at the hotel is also possible.

If you do a little google digging, the TI runs a free walking tour which was fine. It’s a small town so easy to walk around. The castle is the biggest draw.

We are going to be in Prague from 20-30 of December. I sent an email to “Rick.steves.“ website and received a list of recommended tour leaders in Prague…companies that he has used. My Daughter sent out emails to three of them and two responded promptly. We are booked for two tours and they will change the itinerary to meet some of our specific points of interest.
I can forward the information I received to you as I am sure the companies could give you names someone who does tours in CK if the company dies not
Also , in Ricks updated Prague tour book he mentions a private driver who takes groups up to 6 I believe to towns a bit outside of old Prague and can even provide guides, and drives tourists back and forth from old Prague. If you can get ahold of his new book it is listed right after a few pages of tour companies and walking tours . It’s Dave or John’s private transportation or something like that. But Rick writes a very excellent few paragraphs of his services.

When I was there (May 2008) the Tourist Information Center at City Hall (on what would seem to have been the main square) offered a variety of, gosh, it seemed like six, eight, or ten different guided walks. We went on the brewery tour and the tower tour.

We just walked in, but, of course, that was pre-covid.
